Delete your account & data
The short version: Because Stay Vault Days keeps your travel data encrypted on your own device, you are always in control. Here is how to delete it permanently.
In the app
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to Data → “Delete all my data”.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
- Everything — trips, day logs, counters, settings — is erased and the encryption key is destroyed. This is immediate and irreversible.
In the Web Vault
If you only used the web vault, your data lived in your encrypted .svdvault file, which you hold. To delete it, simply delete that file from wherever you stored it (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, your device). We never held a copy.
What is deleted
- All trips, day logs, counters and settings on the device.
- The on-device encryption key (so nothing is recoverable).
- Any cached report data and widget data on the device.
What we may retain
- Marketing contact (if you gave one): if you signed up for updates with an email or phone, email [email protected] to have it deleted.
- Purchase records: subscriptions are handled by Apple/Google; transaction records they hold are subject to their policies and to tax/accounting retention law.
- Already-exported PDF reports in your possession remain valid documents; we hold no copy to delete.
How long it takes
On-device deletion is instant. Any request for marketing-contact deletion is actioned without undue delay and within one month, per UK GDPR.
