Terms of Use
Important: Stay Vault Days is an informational tool that counts your days and models them against published government rules. It is not tax, legal, or immigration advice. Always confirm your residence position with a qualified adviser before making decisions.
1. Who we are
Stay Vault Days ("the app", "the service") is operated by Vaitly Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company number 16814185), registered office Mill House Penrhos Farm, Nantgarw, Cardiff, Wales, CF15 7UN ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, accessing or using the app or this website you agree to these Terms.
2. Your licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Stay Vault Days for your own residency tracking on devices you control. You must not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, or attempt to extract our source code or data sets except to the extent the law permits.
3. Subscriptions, free trial & billing
Stay Vault Days is a paid app offered with a 7-day free trial. After the trial, a recurring auto-renewable subscription is required to continue using the app. Two plans are offered:
- Stay Vault Pro — Monthly — a 1-month subscription, currently £4.99 per month.
- Stay Vault Pro — Annual — a 1-year subscription, currently £29.99 per year.
The price shown in the App Store at the time of purchase applies and may vary by region. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your Apple ID, and payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends; Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings — cancelling stops the next renewal but does not refund the period already in progress.
If you begin the free trial and then purchase a subscription, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies; contact Apple Support to request one. We may change subscription prices or plans in future; we will give notice as required, and any change will not affect a period you have already paid for.
4. No professional advice
The thresholds, counters and calculators in the app are simplified models of complex rules and depend on facts personal to you. We make reasonable efforts to source each rule from official government guidance and to keep it current, but we do not warrant that any figure is complete, error-free, or applicable to your situation. Nothing in the app or on this site constitutes tax, legal, accounting or immigration advice, and we will never tell you that you "are" or "are not" resident. You are solely responsible for your own filings and decisions.
5. Your data & backups
Your travel data is stored on your device and is your responsibility. Encrypted backups are protected by a passphrase only you hold; if you lose that passphrase, the data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. We are not liable for data you lose by losing your key, deleting the app, or losing your device. See our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service unlawfully, to disrupt it, to attempt to breach its security, or to use it to facilitate tax evasion or any unlawful activity. The service helps you understand and comply with rules; it must not be used to break them.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we exclude implied warranties. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any tax, penalty, interest or other liability arising from your reliance on the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Intellectual property
The app, website, branding and content are owned by or licensed to Vaitly Ltd. UK government guidance reproduced in the app is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0 with attribution. All other rights are reserved.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (advice disclaimer, liability, IP) will survive.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you locally.
